Longarm Quilting Services & Pricing

LEVEL OF QUILTING DESIRED -
Quilting fees are based on the actual dimensions of your quilt, priced per square inch (sq in).  See below levels of quilting you can choose from.  To get an idea of the cost for your quilt, multiply the width x length in inches = total number of stitches.  Next you take the total number of stitches x cost of level of quilting desired.

BATTING -
It is important that your batting be a minimum of 8” wider and 8” longer than your quilt top to allow me to have enough room to attach your quilt to the quilting frame.  All extra batting and backing will be returned to you.  You can supply your own batting or purchase it from me.  Note:  I will no longer finish quilts using a 'double' layer of poly batting as this slows down my machine tremendously, making it tedious for me to quilt, not to mention how it takes my joy away from really enjoying finishing your lovely quilt!

 Warm & Natural 100% cotton – Color:  Natural or White . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $8.00 / yd

Squaring . .  . . . . . . . . . . $20

BACKING -
You may supply your own backing.  Backing needs to be a minimum of 8” wider and 8” longer than your quilt top.  I prefer that you not provide bed sheets for your backing as its shrinkage may be greater and the weave of it might be looser than it would for quilt fabric.  However, if you must send a sheet as a backing, ensure that you have washed it in hot water a number of times to ensure it has shrunk as much as it will.  If you piece your backing fabric, remove any selvages before you sew the pieces together as selvages shrink at a different rate than the rest of the fabric and will cause puckers along the seam.  I suggest you use a seam allowance slightly bigger than the standard ¼” piecing seam, for example a 5/8” seam.  Press the seams open.

Piecing together of backing . . . . . . . . . . . .$10/seam
